Privacy Policy
Effective 20 April 2025
Welcome to FireLog (“the App”), developed by Valet Hero (“we,” “our,” or “us”). We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the App. By using FireLog, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not access or use the application.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Google account information. Your name, email address, and profile picture, obtained through Google Sign-In to authenticate your identity and provision your account.
- Firebase project data. The project names and identifiers you select, configure, and manage within the App.
- Settings you configure. Budget thresholds, notification rules, and app preferences.
Information collected automatically
- Device information. Hardware model, operating system and version, and unique device identifiers.
- Usage data. Access times, screens viewed, and the routing path you take through the App.
- IP address and approximate location. Used to estimate general geographic region for security, regional compliance, and fraud prevention.
- Diagnostics. Error logs and performance data.
Google user data accessed
FireLog requests specific Google OAuth scopes to deliver its features. We request only what a feature needs, and drop to read-only scopes wherever possible when you disable write features.
| Scope | Data accessed | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
cloud-billing | Billing budgets — amounts, alert rules | View and manage budgets from your device |
cloud-billing.readonly | Billing account metadata — ID, currency | Populate billing and project selection |
firebase | Project settings and usage metrics | Display real-time Firebase project data |
firebase.readonly | Read-only Firestore, Functions and Auth statistics | Show monitoring dashboards |
openid, email, profile | Your Google email and profile | Link your account and personalise the interface |
2. How we use your information
- Authenticate your account and link Google projects.
- Display your Firebase and billing data in a mobile dashboard.
- Let you view and edit Cloud Billing budgets directly in the App.
- Send notifications when you reach a spend threshold you defined.
- Send administrative and push notifications about your projects — function errors, crash reports, new user signups.
- Manage subscriptions and in-app purchases through RevenueCat.
- Improve App stability, performance, and user experience.
- Monitor for unauthorised access and prevent fraud.
3. How we share your information
We do not sell, rent, or lease your personal information to third parties. We share it only in these situations:
- Service providers. Firebase and Google Cloud for backend infrastructure and application functionality; RevenueCat for in-app purchases and subscription entitlements; the Apple App Store and Google Play for distribution and payment processing. Each operates under its own privacy policy and confidentiality obligations.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, sale of assets, financing, or acquisition. You will be notified before your data is transferred under a new policy.
- Legal obligations. Where required to comply with applicable law, a governmental request, judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process.
4. Data storage, retention and security
- Google credentials. We never store your Google password or refresh tokens.
- Access tokens. Short-lived tokens and budget data are stored locally on your device using the iOS Keychain or Android Keystore, and cleared after 24 hours or when you sign out.
- Encryption. All communication with our servers uses TLS 1.2 or higher.
- Internal controls. Only authorised personnel can access anonymised analytics, and only when necessary.
- Retention. We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy, unless a longer period is required by law. After that we delete or anonymise it.
No electronic transmission or storage technology can be guaranteed completely secure. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures, but transmission of personal information to and from the App is at your own risk.
5. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live — the EEA, the UK, or certain U.S. states such as California — you may have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict processing of, or port your personal data. You can also:
- Disable non-essential analytics in the App’s Settings.
- Revoke FireLog’s access at any time via your Google Account → Security → Third-party apps.
- Manage or cancel subscriptions through the App, the App Store, or Google Play.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us. We act on requests in accordance with applicable data protection law.
6. Sensitive Google OAuth scopes
FireLog uses sensitive OAuth scopes defined by Google and complies with Google’s Limited Use requirements: we access only the data a feature requires, we never use your Google data for advertising, we do not share it outside the conditions described here, and you can revoke access at any time.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The revised version takes effect as soon as it is accessible, and the effective date above will change. Significant updates will be communicated in-app or by email.
8. Contact
Questions about this policy, or a request to access, correct or delete your data, go through support in the app — open Settings from the gear icon on Your Projects. The contact page has the steps.
